AI is the message

This post will not be generated. Why AI shouldn’t be used specifically for generating writing and why AI should stand it’s ground

I had written on June 12, 2020 “This post will not be ranked” simply because it meant to carve the content in a manner that would satisfy the bots for the higher ranking of the content. This meant that the posts that followed these patterns lost its original touch and author’s originality of the language and context. A larger part of the web, may look similar because to gain higher ranking the content was written with the intention of getting more views.

AI and Creative Writing

I have been using AI for research, context, history, and coding. These uses-cases required a lot of time and dedicated research and knowledge in the past. The one-use case I intend to not use is generating written text that is used for communications among people, such as emails, books, articles, and blogs. This is simply because not only will be the personalization of the author, language and emotion will be lost, but because everyone is going to be using the same AI. The entirety of the web will start to look similar. Humans are extremely gifted when it comes to detecting patterns and creations. The beauty of humans is that all of us think differently and over time with environment and circumstances reaches our own individual truths and beliefs. It’s therefore AI is something of a gift for finding, retrieving, understanding and creation of information at a speed not available in the past. Nevertheless, the creative writings or the writing with the intent of communication outside the parameters of technical documentations, regulatory compliance documentation etc, it will lead to the degradation of the human agency of thinking and expressing creatively. This is one of the unique scenario’s were GPT could cause harm.

Why AI should stand it’s ground

There was a discussion about if you force the AI or try to bully it, it may give you the right answer. The only issue is that if that is true and people start to use these tactics, it may become habitual enough that it becomes part of their personality and behaviour. This is keeping in mind that the children at a younger age will start communicating with GPT, and it’s that age they try to mimic as well. There is really nothing good that can come out of this.

It’s therefore that AI should stand it’s ground. If it gets a hint of a strong language or abusive behaviour. It should penalize users. Additionally force users to use proper spelling and try to formulate better while the user asks the questions. This will help to improve language, and comprehension subconsciously for it’s user.

AI is the message, Just like water it can be cause of life or it can cause death. It all depends on how you engage with it.
